Low Cost Primary School Buildimgs    

The usual practice in Bangladesh was to build rural primary school with timber or bamboo frames and roof trussess covered with CGI sheets.As seasoned timber and bamboo are not easily available,steel trussess with CGI sheets roofing were introduced.Steel trussess demands intensive and heavy maintenance against rusting through enamel painting.Moreover,CGI sheet roofing does not provide sound educational environment. LGED has developed and used 3 low cost alternative designs in construction of primary school buildings. The low cost primary schools have got 3 class rooms,one teacher's room and a verandah of specific size.
