LGED involves women engineers into development activities on equal terms with men engineers.
Their participation in development provides stronger base for more realistic planning. In order to
infuse further dynamism in their activities, LGED women engineers have formed a forum with a
total member of 38, out of which Ms. Sultana Nazneen and Ms. Nayma Nazneen have been elected
as the President and Genarel Secretary respectively having a favourable working environment,
LGED has succeed in employing the largest number of women engineers among all the engineering
organizations in Bangladesh . 20 of them are working at the LGED HQ's. In various fields of
activities like Design, MIS, GIS, Cartography and Training. Four female engineers are posted at
the district Hqs. and two are working as thana engineers.
